Lời cầu nguyện được viết bởi Ngài Tenzin Gyatso, Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma thứ 14 của Tây Tạng - Thích nữ Tịnh Quang chuyển ngữ

Lời cầu nguyện Ngôn Từ Chân Lý này, được sáng tác bởi Ngài His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso , Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma thứ 14 của Tây Tạng, vào 29 tháng 9 năm 1960 tại trụ sở tạm thời của Ngài ở Ashram Swarg tại Dharamsala, Quận Kangra, bang Himachal, Ấn Độ. Lời cầu nguyện này để khôi phục hòa bình, Giáo pháp của Phật, và nền văn hóa và tự chủ của người Tây Tạng tại quê hương của họ, lời nguyện cầu đã được viết sau khi những thỉnh cầu được lặp lại bởi các quan chức chính phủ Tây Tạng cùng với sự đồng thuận nhất trí của cộng đồng tu sĩ và Phật tử.

This prayer, Words of Truth, was composed by His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet, on 29 September 1960 at his temporary headquarters in the Swarg Ashram at Dharamsala, Kangra District, Himachal State, India. This prayer for restoring peace, the Buddhist teachings, and the culture and self-determina-tion of the Tibetan people in their homeland was written after repeated requests by Tibetan government officials along with the unanimous consensus of the monastic and lay communities. Kính ngưỡng niệm Thế tôn 

Đức Đại từ đại Bi

Ba ngôi báu: phật, pháp

Và Cộng đồng tâm linh.

Kính chư Phật, Bồ tátVà các Thánh đệ tử 

Từ quá, hiện, vị lai

Có năng lực tuyệt vời 

Như đại dương vô tận

Xem chúng sinh lạc loài 

Là con của các Ngài 

Xin đoái lời chân thật

Từ đau khổ của con.

Giáo pháp Phật viên mãn

Xua tan hết nỗi đau

Của hiện hữu thế gian

Tự bình an định hướng

Nguyện Giáo pháp huy hoàng

Trãi khắp miền, hưng thịnh

Và hạnh phúc an vui 

Xuyên qua khắp trần thế.

Kính Bậc Tổng trì Pháp

Chư Hiền, Bậc chân tu 

Thành tựu mười tịnh giới.

Những chúng sinh thấp kém  

Chịu thống khổ không ngừng

Bị áp lực hoàn toàn 

Dường như là vô tận

Và khủng khiếp hơn nữa 

Những hành vi tiêu cực

Mong những nỗi sợ hãi               

Mà họ không thể chịu 

Từ chiến tranh, nạn đói

Và bệnh khổ…không còn

Được tự do hít thở 

Một đại dương phúc lạc

Và đặc biệt những người 

Có niềm tin vào đạo

Của xứ sở tuyết rơi 

Vì phương diện khác nhau 

Bị tàn phá nhẫn tâm 

Bởi những người man rợ

Ở bên kia bóng tối. 

Mong sức mạnh hiền hòa    

Lòng từ bi phát sinh,

Để nhanh chóng ngăn chặn 

Máu đổ, nước mắt tuôn      

Mong những kẻ tàn độc

Đối tượng của lòng từ  

Điên cuồng vì ảo tưởng 

Nên tàn phá tung hoành  

Chính mình và người khác 

Mong sao họ đạt được 

Mắt trí tuệ sáng soi 

Để biết nên làm gì

Những gì nên từ bỏ

Và tồn tại vẻ vang 

Của yêu thương, hữu nghị.

Tâm nguyện thiết tha này

Là ước vọng tự do  

Cho toàn dân Tây Tạng 

Vốn chờ đợi từ lâu  

Được như cầu, tọại ý

Xin cho cơ vận tốt 

Sớm vui hưởng an lành

Lễ kỷ niệm hạnh phúc

Của quy luật thế gian 

Cùng tâm linh cao cả.

Xin Quan Âm bảo hộ 

Từ bi chăm sóc ai  

Chịu vô vàn khốn đốn 

Hy sinh hết tài sản 

Thân thể và cuộc sống  

Đáng quý nhất của họ

Vì lợi ích Giáo pháp

Vì lợi ích hoằng pháp 

Và dân tộc, quốc gia.

Vậy, Quan Âm bảo hộ 

Đã phát thệ lớn rồi 

Trước chư Phật, Bồ tát

Nguyện ôm choàng Xứ Tuyết;

Mong kết quả tốt lành

Của lời nguyện cầu này

Sớm hiện hữu bây giờ

Bởi tùy thuộc thâm sâu 

Thể tương duyên, không tính 

Kết hợp lực Đại bi

Trong Tam bảo kính qui

Với Ngôn từ Chân lý 

Và xuyên qua sức mạnh

Của định luật quả - nhân 

Lời nguyện chân thành này

Mong không gặp ngăn ngại 

Và sớm được toại thành.

A Prayer Composed by:
His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso The Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet

Honoring and Invoking the Great Compassion
of the Three Jewels; the Buddha, the Teachings,
and the Spiritual Community
O Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and disciples
of the past, present, and future:
Having remarkable qualities
Immeasurably vast as the ocean,
Who regard all helpless sentient beings
as your only child;
Please consider the truth of my anguished pleas.

Buddha's full teachings dispel the pain of worldly
existence and self-oriented peace;
May they flourish, spreading prosperity and happiness through-
out this spacious world.
O holders of the Dharma: scholars
and realized practitioners;
May your ten fold virtuous practice prevail.

Humble sentient beings, tormented
by sufferings without cease,
Completely suppressed by seemingly endless
and terribly intense, negative deeds,
May all their fears from unbearable war, famine,
and disease be pacified,
To freely breathe an ocean of happiness and well-being.
And particularly the pious people
of the Land of Snows who, through various means,
Are mercilessly destroyed by barbaric hordes
on the side of darkness,
Kindly let the power of your compassion arise,
To quickly stem the flow of blood and tears.

Those unrelentingly cruel ones, objects of compassion,
Maddened by delusion's evils,
wantonly destroy themselves and others;
May they achieve the eye of wisdom,
knowing what must be done and undone,
And abide in the glory of friendship and love.

May this heartfelt wish of total freedom for all Tibet,
Which has been awaited for a long time,
be spontaneously fulfilled;
Please grant soon the good fortune to enjoy
The happy celebration of spiritual with temporal rule.

O protector Chenrezig, compassionately care for
Those who have undergone myriad hardships,
Completely sacrificing their most cherished lives,
bodies, and wealth,
For the sake of the teachings, practitioners,
people, and nation.

Thus, the protector Chenrezig made vast prayers
Before the Buddhas and Bodhisativas
To fully embrace the Land of Snows;
May the good results of these prayers now quickly appear.
By the profound interdependence of emptiness
and relative forms,
Together with the force of great compassion
in the Three Jewels and their Words of Truth,
And through the power
of the infallible law of actions and their fruits,
May this truthful prayer be unhindered
and quickly fulfilled.
