A WONDERFUL DAY

sunny shimmer
Winds sing a lyric and romantic song
The Autumn warms my heart
and calls me in morning:
Hello a happy day
Listen to the ground to mysterious breathing
As the birds clang aloud
the sunrise wake up my light,
calling up me every peaceful moment
Oh, forever,
be the freshly day
the wonderful day!

Thich Nu Tinh Quang (Phuong Thi Van) is a Vietnamese-American nun. Born in 1969 in Hue, Vietnam, she currently lives in Garden Grove, California. She became a Buddhist nun in 1978. She received teachings from her own Dhamma teacher, Venerable Dieu Khong and was ordained as a Bhikkhuni in 1989. She is the abbot of Dieu Khong Temple in Garden Grove. In addition to being a PhD in religious studies, she is a poet, author, and translator.
